Living in Stow

The city was named after Joshua Stow, a member of the party that came to the area with Moses Cleaveland, the founder of the city of Cleveland. Stow paid just over $14,000 for the land first inhabited by the Seneca tribe, which would eventually become the city. The first settler was William Walker, who built the first house in 1802, but it wasn't officially incorporated until 1957.

Today, the city has a population of about 34,000 and is the third largest in the county, and residents living here will find plenty of economic and recreational opportunities.

Those who rent in the area and like outdoor activities will find a number of things to do in and around their neighborhood.
