Living in Medford, OR
Despite being a small city today, Medford's place along the railroad in the late 1800s made many local residents believe the city would soon become the region's largest. By 1884, several houses and businesses had been built in town.
Although Medford is not the largest town in the state, it still continues to be an area that embraces growth. The largest employers in Jackson County include Asante, Lithia Motors, Inc. and Rogue Valley Medical Center, among others. Medford is about 20 minutes north of Ashland, home to Southern Oregon University. Students renting Medford apartments will be able to easily commute to classes from town.
Medford Attractions and Special Events
