To get your shop on in Old City, try 3rd Street. Stores there are all set to satisfy style mavens and designer tastes. Eating out in the area is also a pleasure. You’ll have a rich choice of restaurants, bars, and clubs. You can get Japanese fusion at Morimoto or try some of the Founding Father’s recipes at City Tavern. Nightlife is plentiful and popular in Old City.

Penn’s Landing along the river has an ice rink and hosts concerts. There are cinemas, historic sites, museums, and plenty more to keep you busy here, too. While Independence National Historical Park has some lovely lawns, if you’re looking to enjoy a day outside, you’ll likely want to head across town to Fairmount Park.

Expect Olde City residents to be younger and livelier. There are exquisite old homes in this part of town, but you’re more likely to grab something newer. The average Old City apartment rents for about $1,450 a month. If you’re commuting, you’ve got no worries. You can bus, trolley, subway, or walk from Olde City easily.
