For those who enjoy shopping from the comfort of their couch, a job at QVC might be a good option. The online and TV retailer has its headquarters just outside of the downtown area and films much of its content at its Studio Park complex.

Research shows one-bedroom apartments in the borough of West Chester range from about $750 to $1,600. To help with costs, residents who decide to live closer to the downtown area may also be able to reduce the total expenses by getting rid of their car since much of the town is walkable.

In recent years, the number of trendy and well-reviewed restaurants in the West Chester area has continued to increase - making it difficult to visit all of the hot eating spots West Chester has to offer. But, locals are in luck because the Chester County Restaurant Festival takes place each year right in the heart of downtown West Chester. There visitors can try dozens of area restaurants, and local businesses while listening to music from regional musical acts.
