Overview of Wynnewood
Wynnewood is a relatively small unincorporated community in southeastern Pennsylvania, approximately seven miles northwest of Philadelphia and eight miles southeast of Wayne. The neighborhood is in Montgomery County and is part of the Lower Merion Township. Wynnewood apartments for rent are excellent options for joining the population of nearly 14,000 residents.

The Wynnewood Civic Association, one of many civic organizations that are involved in keeping Wynnewood an attractive place to live, describes the Wynnewood neighborhood as "a very special place," with streets that are lined with mature trees, a scenic viewshed and wooded enclaves. Residents can take advantage of quiet living with many amenities to enjoy, including pedestrian-friendly shopping areas, a thriving business district, paved sidewalks and easy access to public transportation.
Today, Wynnewood is primarily a well-developed residential community, with a clearly-defined commercial segment.
Wynnewood Attractions and Special Events
There are numerous attractions and things to do for people living in Wynnewood apartments to take advantage of. There are numerous area landmarks that have been preserved to this day, including the Owen House, which is also known as Penn Cottage. The house is made from stone and was built on 442 acres of land that were purchased by Robert Owen in 1695. The house historical served as a court due to its large size.
Residents can also head to Shortridge Park for prime outdoor recreation. The park is part of the Lower Merion Park system and sits alongside Indian Creek.
