"Hughes Station is Brighton's first affordable apartment community, and is located in the historic Downtown area. The goal of Hughes Station is to provide the opportunity to truly enjoy a community with rents designed to be affordable for households with restricted incomes. We offer opportunities for residents to gain knowledge and skills in areas to assist towards first time home buying and beyond. Including: Affordable rents, Financial Fitness & Budgeting Courses, Job Skills Training, GED study and testing, and A Habitat For Humanity Homebuyers Program. In addition we have contracted a Brighton schoolteacher in the 27J district to provide assistance with our After School Program for children in grades 1-5. The Budgeting course is provided through the Colorado State University Extension Program and they also offer Couples Communication, Parenting, and Nutrition Courses along with several other classes here in our Community Center! All of which are FREE to our residents! The Community Center is also home to a Mommy and Me group and the Brighton Weight Watchers group, who both meet weekly. You are welcome, as a resident of Hughes Station, to host your own event or party as well."
