Better known as the “Green,” it defines the town’s character and is surrounded on all four sides by numerous historically significant structures which house everything from a Chinese restaurant to a branch of the U.S. Postal Service. In fact, having almost everything you need within walking distance, in conjunction with mass transit being so readily available means owning a car becomes an option rather than a necessity.
Morristown offers its older residents regularly scheduled transportation to shopping and doctors.
Morristown may be small in size but it’s big on recreation. Offering everything from tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball fields, soccer fields, playgrounds, picnic areas and a municipal pool, its Division of Recreation has seen to it that residents have all sorts of outdoor activities to choose from.
