The Carling on Frankford

These are definitely apartments I would AVOID! The buildings are falling apart and whenever there is a maintenance issue they come in and put a band-aid on it. I had to have the HVAC system worked on approx. 6 -7 times since moving in. On a couple occasions the AC stopped working. The other times I had RUSTY water dripping from the ceiling on me in the shower. It took maintenance 4 different attempts to fix the issue. The Manager Monica REFUSES to return phone calls and will not have her regional manager contact me after several requests. Maintenance shows at my door unannounced despite the fact that I have made numerous requests to be notified prior to attempting any repairs. The kick plate from my dishwasher is still sitting on the floor of my kitchen from the service repair OVER A MONTH AGO!!

I just moved into these apartments not even a week ago and the air is out. I called when the office was open and someone came out. He worked outside for about an hour just to tell me he added Freon and should be working shortly once its circulated. 2 hours goes by and the thermostat still says 89 degrees, sometimes 90. So, obviously what he did didnt help if the temp is only going up. Im so adamant about the AC because I have a 7 week old child in the apartment. I called the 24 hour maintenance emergency line 2 times and no call back. On the voicemail Ive even said theres a newborn in my apartment and still no call back. Again, I havent even been here a week, and Im already getting a bad taste in my mouth about these apartments. Texas heat is no joke and I hate they didnt take it as an emergency. I wish there was a satisfactory guarantee, bc i would move out after this. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

This is the worst place I've ever lived. The staff is rude and miserable. They could care less about your concerns or problems. Maintenance around here is a job. The maintenance guys are pretty good but they don't have the time or the authority to fix things the right way. You can go without air conditioner or a dishwasher or a fridge and they don't care. They charge you for trash violations all the time for no reason. Just the grounds themselves show they don't care. The only pool in the complex is filthy and always dirty....... Just listen and read reviews. This place is a dump.... ask someone that lives here......

Leasing agent lied about apartment being ready. I made a long drive from another state with family in tow, only to find out that she had been lying. I had to lodge for a night in a hotel. Also throughout my stay there were a number of maintenance issues that required several visits to be corrected. The carpet, refrigerator, and bathrooms had not been cleaned.

First, management did not inform me that the city had torn up the street replacing water lines and that it would take much longer than expected. Road stayed tore up congested with traffic and difficult to manuver. I moved from another state straight into Frankford Place (site unseen) only from the website pics. 2nd, frig leaked water the 1st weekend of moving in because ice maker water line wasnt capped and 3rd, the office staff had an indifferent attitude which made things feel real cold.

The maintenance crew was always very helpful. The location is superb. (Right on the Green Belt!) The office group has declined in being helpful and friendly. I have lived there for 5.5 years and they are raising my rent more than 100.00 over what they rent to newcomers. Unacceptable.
