Living in Columbia, TN
When Maury County was formed in 1807, the city of Columbia was formed in an area taken from the territories of the Cherokee, Creek, Choctaw and Chickasaw tribes. When the city’s charter was amended in 1850, Columbia hired its first police officer and paved the way into modern society. Today, Columbia is a quaint city surrounded by rolling hillsides that keep residents connected to the great outdoors. Columbia is home to the Maury Regional Medical Center, which provides exceptional medical care and job opportunities for the local community. The city also has a great public school system, uncommonly friendly residents and a comforting, hometown atmosphere that makes Columbia the perfect place to raise a family.
