Most workers carpool to their destinations as there are no Amtrak train stations in the immediate area. The closest train station is 30 miles away as well as the airport if you were traveling outside of Texas. The other highest percentage of the people living in the community, take public transportation to work but it is advisable to have your own vehicle for convenience and reliability.

University Hills has two elementary schools in the immediate area. JE Pearce Middle School is the only middle school in University Hill that is within a 15-20 miles radius. University Hill has multiple schools that are a little further outside the area, meaning they are not within walking distance. It is more likely that students will need to take public or school transportation in order to get to their school on a daily basis. Of course, your distance to the school will depend on where your apartment is located within the community.
