I have lived here about a year. The electric bill has been reasonable in the summer. Instead of having a pat Read Moreio, I have a sunroom, which makes my apartment bright and a little bigger.

The grounds in certain parts of the complex are repeatedly trashed, probably by the same people. (ie Building Read More#21). The dog refuse bin is not cleaned out daily. I've been in the front office reporting offenses to management, and I hope that the maintenance crew will initiate keeping a closer eye on the grounds before the residents do. Two chronic issues that I personally have an issue with, is 1) the entrance gate closest to Hwy 121 is broken about 50% of the time. Since I've been here about 4 1/2 months, I've seen it stuck open unable to control by remote at least 6-8 times. That's more than once a month. That's not acceptable. We pay for security gates and it's not very secure. 2) The plumbing in the kitchen reeks of rotten eggs. Mostly from backup. I know that Carrollton water is not the cleanest in the city being close to the landfill. But if it's back-up, it's a chronic plumbing issue. It's not just in my apartment, I have heard the same thing from other residents in other buildings. (ie #29) These two issues, and the delayed maintenance response time, will affect my decision to renew my lease next year.
