This quiet residential community stretches from North Dallas into Far North Dallas along the Platinum Corridor. Known today as the "Cotton Belt," Far North Dallas was planted with cotton into the 1950s. A lot of the growth in the area occurred during the construction boom of the 1980s and continued into the mid 1990s. Homes and rental units in Bent Tree tend to be newer and larger than in other parts of the city.
