North Dallas is large enough that certain parts of it are covered by different school districts. Most of the Dallas County portion of North Dallas is served by the Dallas Independent School District, although a small area is served by the Richardson Independent School District. Students in DISD are zoned to Emmett J. Conrad, Hillcrest, Thomas Jefferson, or W. T. White High School.
Outer regions of North Dallas that are encompassed by Collin County are served by the Plano Independent School District, while the Denton County portion of North Dallas is served by the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District.
