For outdoor fun, Harry S. Moss Park in Vickery Meadow, has a playground, picnic areas, a gym, bike and hiking trails, and 10 soccer fields. The large park also is home to the Fair Oaks Tennis Center with 16 lighted outdoor courts and programs for all ages.

Apartment rentals in Vickery Meadow are more affordable than average for the city of Dallas. You can expect studio apartments to start at around $400 a month. Small one-bedroom rentals are available for $450 and two bedroom units can be found for around $650 and up. Most of the apartments in this neighborhood are two- or three-story buildings that date from mainly the 1980s and 1970s. The average commute for area residents is 20 to 30 minutes.
