The city of Euless is named for early settler Elisha Euless who bought land here in 1879. A Tennessee native, he built a home and cotton gin. He also built a Grange Hall, which served as the local school. The community came together around this young man and his property, growing slowly but steadily from just 25 people in 1915 to over 51,000 people today.
Today, Euless is a thriving community that provides no shortage of fun activities. With over 17 parks, three public swimming pools, 31 athletic fields, and a Texas Star Golf Course, Euless is a great place to be if you and your family are committed to a healthy, active lifestyle.
History buffs will want to check out the Heritage Park, which provides tours of iconic buildings in the city, including The Fuller House, which is a focal point for historical artifacts, Himes Log House, which is among the oldest structures in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, and the McCormick Barn,
which dates back to the end of WWI.
When you are living here, you will also want to check out some of the yearly festivities, which include the Arbor Daze, an annual celebration of trees, as well as the Christmas Parade of Lights, which features floats from many local organizations.
In terms of public transportation, Euless is primarily a car-dependent city, although the Fort Worth Transportation Authority provides bus, vanpool, and Trinity Railway Express rail services to commuters and residents throughout Tarrant County.
