Overview of Piney Point Village

Rent an apartment in Piney Point Village near Houston, TX, and you will have one of the swankiest addresses in all of Texas. Piney Point Village is one of the area's more upscale communities, with one of the highest per capita incomes in the state. The community had a modest start as a stop on the Texas Western Railroad line in the 1880s. Like much of the surrounding area, it was then settled by German farmers. By the mid-1950s, Houston was expanding and gobbling up communities to the west of downtown. Piney Point Village, and five other nearby villages, opted to remain independent and each formed its own government. Known collectively as "The Villages," these communities remain independent today in the midst of the Houston's Memorial neighborhood.

Uniquely, Piney Point Village has restrictions on all forms of business, ensuring its quiet residential character stays that way. Large country-style estates line the quiet drives throughout the village. The Village is a haven for well-heeled corporate executives and their families.
