This city is conveniently located nearby the Dallas-Fort Worth Metropolitan, one of the largest and most culturally and economically diverse in the nation. It is approximately 15 miles south of downtown Dallas and situated in Dallas County. Its location makes it ideal for any apartment renter to be able to effortlessly commute. Living in Lancaster

Lancaster was founded in 1852 and is one of the county’s earliest frontier settlements. The trading post in the city was a main one for south Dallas County. The city was first officially incorporated in 1853.

It is listed as part of the Best Southwest Partnership, which is an organization that has cooperated economic development, joint purchasing, public safety mutual aid and legislative features within four cities that are in close proximity to each other. The partnership also encompasses the towns of Cedar Hill, DeSoto and Duncanville.

There are plenty of annual community-wide events that make Lancaster incredibly appealing such as the Martin Luther King, Jr. Foundation’s parade and gala, the Lancaster Country Ride, which is sponsored by the Greater Dallas Bicyclists Organization, and the Fourth of July celebration in the Community Park.

Apartment renters may want to reside near the Bear Creek Nature Park. A perfect to experience outdoor trails used for both equestrian and walking, the park features two large ponds, overnight camping spots, large covered pavilions for picnics, a beautiful butterfly garden, an outdoor education program with a classroom and a fishing pier.

The small town feel of the city, coupled with its close proximity to a major city, makes it an ideal place to rent an apartment or home in any neighborhood. Commuting is almost effortless, due to the city’s excellent access to major freeways including Interstate 20, Interstate 35 and Interstate 45. For those who prefer to use public transportation, however, DART light rail service provides transportation to downtown Dallas as well as other locations. Dallas Love Field and Dallas/Ft. Worth International Airport are also both short driving distances away.

Apartments in Lancaster-Study

Apartment renters can appreciate that this city is a short drive away from Cedar Valley College and the University of North Texas at Dallas, which are both easily accessible from any of Lancaster’s neighborhoods. Many people who rent in this city commute to other nearby universities such as the University of Dallas and Dallas Baptist University.

Having such a large array of options to choose from in the educational arena makes living in any of this city’s neighborhoods appealing to most apartment renters.
