Renting an apartment in Stone Oak, a neighborhood in San Antonio, TX, will have you rubbing elbows with the city's elite. This decidedly upscale community has one of the most prestigious addresses in the city. A number of celebrities make their home within the gated and master-planned community.
Stone Oak is within San Antonio's Far North Central neighborhood. It is located off Route 281 and north of Loop 1604, also known as State Highway 1604. A developer purchased 4,300 acres and began development in the 1980s. As a master-planned community, Stone Oak's designers wanted the area to have everything residents would need or want within the community, including offices, churches, hospitals, schools, banks, shopping and restaurants. Today, the concept is thriving.
Other popular neighborhoods in San Antonio include Uptown Central, North Central, Northwest Side and the West Side.
Stone Oak Lifestyle and Entertainment

The rental market in Stone Oak is considerably more expensive than most parts of the city. Your housing choices are decidedly more elegant and generally newer than in other areas. If you are looking for something larger, the area boasts luxurious condos, townhomes and single-family homes, although rents can be significantly higher. Stone Oak is about 18 miles from Downtown, which is easily accessible via the 281.
