Located about 25 miles outside of Austin, the suburban town of Taylor, Texas, is a pleasant place to call home. With a population of about 16,000, Taylor is at once historic and modern, and has kept pace with trendy Austin throughout the past few years. Originally home to sprawling acres of ranch land, Taylor was put on the map with the arrival of the International & Great Northern Railway in 1876. Taylor was incorporated as a city in 1884, after being known as Taylorsville township in prior years.
