In addition, Church Hill is home to the Franklin Military Academy, which has military, police and firefighters programs. The community is also within just a short distance of several major colleges such as the Virginia Commonwealth University, Medical College of Virginia, and the downtown campus of J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College.
