Bothell WA Town

Overview of Bothell

Bothell, WA, with its excellent wineries, shopping, world-class dining and historic attractions is a town so quaint and charming that it would have most likely inspired envy amongst Johnny Appleseed. Living in Bothell

In 1876, a Canadian named George Brackett bought land and began commercial logging in what is now the center of downtown Bothell. After establishing a store, a school and a sawmill, Brackett eventually sold 80 acres to Pennsylvania settler David Bothell. The city was officially incorporated in 1909.

Today, Bothell, less than a 40 minute drive away from Seattle, has over 33,000 residents and a selection of activities to offer that are so diverse and appealing that they are sure to dispel any complaints of boredom on any given weekend. From the Music in the Park series during the summer months to the Greater Bothell Arts and Crafts Fair to the Harvest Festival and Pumpkin Carving around Halloween, there is always something to mark in your calendar and look forward to.

Outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers will appreciate The Summits of Bothell bike ride as well as the annual riverfest, two golf courses, and more than 58 acres of protected wetlands.

If you’re looking for a perfect date spot or a day outing away from the kids, this community offers over 100 scenic wineries and four craft distilleries to choose from.

Although Bothell is primarily car-dependent, there is a public transportation system called BusPlus that stops in the city and ensures you won’t be caught in a lurch if you find yourself without a ride.
