Monte Sano Terrace

I gave it a 2 star because there was not a rating for my review. Never got a response from my inquiry. Contacted the apartments directly after 4 days. I was looking for a temporary lease for a remodeling project in my house and needed a short term lease. Called the office and asked to speak to the manager or assistant but the person answered told me she could help me. She said they were currently full and were on a waiting list for the first of January.

They were prompt in their response to my inquiry. Unfortunately they have a waiting list and could not accommodate me at this time but thats a good problem to have.

It is a nice quiet community for the most part. However, there are some individuals who abuse the pool privileges which has resulted in management limited the time the pool is open. I moved from Michigan to a warmer climate and last year my friends in Michigan still had their pool open and ours was closed. Memorial Day to Labor Day only. I will probably move when my lease is up for this reason.

Maintenance requests were taken care of within 24 hours. HVAC unit went out in the summer and they resolved the issue quickly, which impressed me the most. Management wasn't extremely friendly, but did assist if needed.

I enjoyed living at Monte Sano but when I left I was hit with a ridiculous carpet fee about have to replace the carpet when I know for a fact that the carpet was no damaged from when I lived there.

If I could give this place less than one star, I absolutely would. I already know that the owners will comment on this post saying “we’re sorry you feel this way” which was all they offered when I lived there as well while ignoring serious issues. So nothing new there. Avoid this place like a plague; none of your maintenance problems will ever be handled, Karen and Dana both will ignore any problems no matter how serious they get to be. My unit had water damage that they let sit untreated and uncared for over a year that developed into mold, (from June of 2020 up to October of 2021) and constant water leaking from the unit above us. Their solution was to cover up the damage with Killz, a product that doesn’t work on mold in the first place, and even left their equipment in our apartment from May 21 up to moving out in October of 21 because they were “coming back to fix things”. Which clearly never happened. Don’t bother wasting your money here 🖤

Best location, best pricing, best sizes/floor plans, best amenities. Was on a 4 month wait to get my three bedroom but it was worth it. Vaulted ceilings, private spacious balcony and a timely maintenance crew.

Wonderful staff who are eager to learn and work hard to stay current on laws and regulations.

We will NEVER go back to this place, and we didn't even move in. We applied back before Thanksgiving, because the website and third party websites ACTIVELY list "available" units. We were approved within a week or so, but then we had to wait. And wait. And wait some more. Fast forward 3 months later, we were given a unit "we had on our waitlist". No, it wasn't even a unit we had listed and we cant even move in until MAY 26TH, BUT THEY CERTAINLY EXPECT YOU TO PAY THE DEPOSIT.. When we would call, we were given a "just wait till one becomes available, sorry don't have any info". 0/10, the hype isn't worth it. We found another townhome, cheaper, better area, better internet, and we're approved THAT morning of applying and we're moving in March 1st. Save yourself the headache and DO NOT waste your time and more importantly your MONEY!!

When I first drove in, I was pleasantly surprised by attractive architecture of the buildings. I have a beautiful view of the mountains from each of the windows. I asked maintenance to check the lights on our floor, as none were lit, and whatever the issue was, they had our walkway lit up the very next evening. I love seeing the deer that sometimes come by. There are trails near the apartment, a pool, spa, fitness room, BBQ area, and area for dogs to run and play, and a playground for the children. The office staff has always treated me with respect. Our area is quiet, and I've never had any problem with our neighbors.

We have lived here for 6 months now and love it!!! It fits in with our personality great! Our daughter loves playing outside and we love how close to trails we are as well!

Quiet, cooler in summer, convenient location, plus great maintenance and office staff. Been here a long time!

I have just renewed my lease and have lived here for 4 years. I love the proximity to the Land Trust and the location is great. I've found that any minor maintenance issue in my apartment has been handled in a timely fashion and the office staff are friendly. The grounds are generally well maintained and I like having a screened porch which gives me the feeling of another room for most months of the year.

This is a great community to live in. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Nice, roomy apartments perfect for a little home away from home.

I chose this place as my home because I've always loved it here. So close to everything and it is simply beautiful. I routinely see deer and fox. The complex even has it's own dog park!
