Terrible! Beware of this place and any place owned by P.B. Bell. They forced tenants, even long-term, to move o Read Moreut of their apartments so they could remodel and charge more. Some were forced out of their lake-view units and were paying the same or more, for non-lake view. If you wanted to move into an remodeled lake view unit, your rent was going UP minimum $200. PLUS you got the privilege of paying a $400 transfer fee!Office staff is rude. Unless they like you, and if not, good luck!Apartments are so small there is no room for a trash can in the kitchen, and some of the kitchens are so small only ONE person at a time can fit inside. There is no coat closet either, hardly any storage at all. Look hard at the unit before you decide to rent here. Parking lot floods so badly when it rains you can't get your car out. It has never been fixed. Air conditioners are on roof so if you live in a 2nd story unit, you will hear when yours and your neighbors runs. It is VERY loud. Also beware of the rent and expect it to go sky high when your lease expires. The current high ratings are because they had a contest in October to win a Star Bucks gift card if you gave them a good rating. The rating was poor prior to October. Take what it says NOW with a big grain of salt. P.B. Bell is a money-grubbing company that doesn't care about its tenants, as evidenced by their shabby treatment of long-term, good tenants. Many chose to transfer when all this happened, but many of them are moving when they are able. Good luck to you if you choose to rent here; you will need it. Again, any positive reviews in October 2017 are undoubtedly due to the "contest" they had (heard about it from a current unhappy resident) to win a Starbucks gift card if you left a positive review. A very snaky thing for them to due, but not surprising for P. B. Bell and management of Alcove.

We appreciate your feedback, Janice, and want make sure you understand our approach as we renovate a number of the units here. We have waived the transfer fee and offered a $300 discount to those who live in the units that need remodeling and agree to transfer. We are aware of the unfortunate flooding that occurs in parts of the parking lots during monsoon rains, and we continue to work to remedy the situation. If you'd like to discuss any further, please visit with us in the leasing office.
Very happy I am finally moving out of these apartments, The price is high and there's many things wrong, start Read Moreed with the toilet and the air conditioning and the light bulbs and they painted the tubs so ours is chipping and no matter how many times I clean there are always roaches !! When I moved in November 2013, the washing machine was broken and the fridge was not working properly. Over t Read Morehe next few months, the dishwasher broke, the hot water heater had to be repaired and then replaced. I also had concerns about the air conditioning unit and was told to buy dark curtains or switch the vents. It was determined that the ac unit was only for a 1 bedroom and my apartment was a 3 bedroom. Office staff was rude every time I reported broken appliances or needed repairs.
