DO NOT MOVE IN HERE! HUGE HOLE in parking lot! We signed a lease July 4th and moved in July 27th. We discovered a huge hole in the middle of the parking lot causing us to not be able to use our parking spots. The management company said the situation would be resolved the end of September- then the end of October- then by November 4th according to the city deadline. Its November 9th and its still not fixed. There is no sense of urgency in resolving the issue. Common office excuses include the insurance companies are arguing over who pays for what, we are fighting with the city about responsibility. The city has already investigated and found no responsibility based on city pipes. The responsible thing to do, is for the complex to step up, fix it and pay for it and then seek those costs or damages from the insurance company through legal proceedings with The insurance company or city. Not leave the hole there for months. According to the Landlord Tenant Act, the management company has a responsibility to maintain the grounds. The hole and broken watering pipes is not them maintaining the grounds. They are in violation of the act. One week after our physical move in date, the air conditioner died. It took a week to get that fixed. This is our second time leaving in this complex. In 2009-10, it was amazing- different owners, different management company. This management company for the property sucks!!! We asked the last day to pay rent, girl in the office said the 4th. We went back to pay rent on the 4th and were told we were late and charged a $100 late fee. The staff response was, dont you read your lease? Valid point but we asked in the office and were told the 4th. They charged us the late fee even though it was their own staff that told us incorrectly. Landscaping pipes break and the common area water bill will go up. The complex charges common area utilities to the residents in line items in your rent statement.

I love living life at San Melia Apartments. The rent is affordable. I've only been here since April 28, 2019. It's been amazing. Now, I'll tell you why- and no .....I don't work here and I'm not a walking advertisement...just a retired first grade teacher enjoying my golden years! So, moving forward, my son and I rented this 3 bedroom apartment. It looked more like a home than an apartment because the kitchen was larger with an area we use as our office space, where we put our printer. It had upgrades like have a cell phone charger hook-up built right into the outlet asking with the dark Italian wood cupboards with silver handles & granite countertops. Additionally, we have wood flooring throughout the place. There is also a fireplace and some built in shelves to decorate! The master bedroom was really large and included a large walk-in closet, and a larger, double balcony! The other bedroom has a balcony too and my bedroom is looking at the beautiful landscaping outside! I have a mirrored closest! There are also washers and dryers in these apartments! Additionally, we really loved the management in the Office Area. Marlene, and all the other front office staff were warm, professional and welcoming. They really care. I experienced this first hand because Marlene gave us an apartment walkthru along with the all the amenities....and there are many! There is a giant, fresh water, swimming pool along with a real beach with real sand. My 3 year old grandson likes to scoop and pour sand and play on the beach! We all love to swim in the pool and play with him! The pool is well maintained, crystal clean, along with two jacuzzis, a fitness center with lockers, sauna, shower and facilities! It feels like a private club! Along with that, there's a fire pit with relaxing chairs and a vending machine that has ice cold drinks. There is a gorgeous Club house complete with bathroom, full kitchen, family room area, large mounted TV and a billiard!!! We love it!

This apartment complex is anything but "luxury" and not worth the premium rates. Where to start.... office staff was somewhat friendly, courteous andt responsive prior to signing the lease. Then reality came to be - any issue has been met with blaming the "new mangement" company, "short staffed", " too busy" and service requests taking a month plus to respond to, poor landscape upkeep, general disrepair, trash piling up. The office staff is not capable of resolving anything, can not look you in the eye or apologize for an incovienence that is related to their management. Customer service 101 does not exists. The common area fees are also higher than all my single person 2 bedroom apt utilities combined. Plus you have a monthly fee for parking plus plus - beware - what the office estimates at the lease time, was not accurate. Stated approximate $35.00 and it has been averaging $80.00 per month for common fees. Now to top it off - there has been a water leak GIANT water line break to the fire supression system. Work was initially started, then had to stop to get a special permited company. Work has not been for weeks.... and now the parking lot is buckling with a sink hole, that actually sucked up part of car! Stay Away...... many other newer and truly luxury apartments in the area.

This place is great! Pool is awesome, fitness room is new and has good equipment, office staff is friendly and helpful... especially the property manager, Leslie... she has come through for me multiple times when I've had a special request. I highly recommend this place!
