    The Met was recently sold and taken over by another company including new management in May of 2017. They have gone from the well kept complex I had come to love after living there for a few years to poor management, nickle and dime-ing you for fees and recently began charging for water (previously included in the rent) not by ACTUAL usage, but by apartment size. Several small apartments have multiple occupants, using hundreds of gallons of water and some larger apartments with single occupants, using a fraction of units with high occupancy. They have told current renters to get with the program, providing barely 48 hours via a rolled up paper stuck in your door, to provide 60-day move-out notice if you don't agree. They also only accept packages at the office for a fee (of course). The pool and grounds went from being cleaned daily to once a week with a quick sweep or wash of bird droppings, which is extensive in the front of the complex, "as needed". Let the piles of bird droppings tell you the real truth Their concerns are with their bottom line and not with their renters. Management seems more concerned with their own personal appearances, and are condescending to current renters while, potential new renters get the royal treatment. Yes, the location is prime but there are so many other, newer complexes in the area offering more new, quality amenities and facilities (just walk a few blocks over and take their tours, use their workout rooms for an easy example). The upgrades done by the previous owners were "cheap" and cosmetic, barely enough to attempt to keep up with the newness in the area. Thin carpet and/or vinyl floors only look like wood or laminate, lowest model "stainless steel" appliances they could get away with, and granite counter tops that don't fit flush on the top of the cabinets or they try to fill in the gaps with calk, poorly. And just let me show you the patches or the actual termite shelter tubes on one of my closets.
