I loved this place when I first moved in, but they don't seem to care about keeping me here. There are zero amenities available due to covid, which I understand, but they've raised my rent above what a larger apartment goes for on their website. My partner wanted to move into a studio since we both have to work at home, but they won't lease a studio to him since he already lives in a 2-bedroom with me. He is now moving to another complex several miles away since we're all working from home. It would have been wonderful to have him in the same complex and I don't understand why they wouldn't rent a studio to someone making 6 figures. My options now are either to move into a larger space in this complex to save on rent, which seems like a pointless hassle, or to find another place to live. When I asked about rent concessions due to the lack of amenities, the woman in the office had the audacity to say rents were going back up (the entire internet seems to disagree). On top of that, at least 3 emails I've sent to management have been completely ignored. The apartment itself is fine (there are some minor, unfixable issues like a badly installed bathroom sink), but the rent is much too high for what you actually get compared to a number of other complexes in Alameda. It's not a bad place to live, but I certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

So far 4 months in and 3 maintenance team fails. Maintenance manager is rude and condescending. Had an issue with the dishwasher, the maintenance manager stood there any give me instructions on how to wash the dishes before I put them in the machine. Also had the nerve to stand in front of me and tell me that I was lying and "Making it up". Then wrote in the support case that I was fishing for a new machine. The final straw was when I called in a emergency (I woke up to find my kitchen flooded) it took over 1 3/4 hours and two phone calls to get any response. Now I'm out of pocket $250 to have damaged items replaced. When reported to the site manager, he took NO responsibility for the bad service. And didn't care at all about damaged caused. He made it out like it was my problem that the sink was overflowing, and made out that I caused the issue. Which is weird as I was sleep and woke up to a kitchen and living room full of water. They are all nice until you sign up then they no longer care.

I think it a start when you are homeless. I feel that I'm being made to take a smaller unit cause I have low housing program. When I need a bigger space. Why do people look down on the program so badly. Hasn't the convisu though us any thing we are people who need help.
