Our move out experience with City Lights was the worst I have had. We asked for clarification on move-out policies and were told by Linda, a leasing agent, that if we were out of our apartment by a certain date, there would not be any further charges for rent. Several weeks after moving out, we received a bill for an extra week of rent. I assumed there had merely been a mistake, but when I explained, I was told that Linda denied ever explaining the policies to my wife and I. When I checked the bill I received, I found that we had been charged for rent that occurred after the move-in date for the next tenant. When I confronted them about the overcharges and said I found them troubling, the staff was dismissive and said that the overcharging was human error and nothing to worry about. It is frustrating to have to line-check move out bills and perform the pro-rata calculations on charges to make sure you are not being taken advantage of.

Modern apartments with excellent resort-style amenities. At least where we lived, the building was quite and parking was rarely an issue.

I loved the location of the complex, it is within walking of food and entertainment. Noise wasn't a huge issue, though I could hear the people in the apartment above me walking around. I liked the maintenance people and was usually satisfied with their work...once they showed up. Although they had a response time promise, they usually only barely met the deadline. My biggest issue with the complex is that they always increased the rent at the end of the lease, by the maximum legal amount.
