I've been trying to get simple information on availability for weeks leaving messages and trying to connect on the phone. No one answers and no one calls back...

We were prospective tenants. The apartment was spacious and clean, but the manager made the application process much more complicated. We've been in contact with her via phone/text throughout the initial process without any problem, and had already submitted a personal check (rent+deposit). We were in the process of changing this to a money order/cashier's check as per her request, but she suddenly stopped replying through phone and switched communication to email in which she claimed that she has been trying to get in touch with us and indicated that we had already lost our hold on the unit.
