I really liked it because it's like a small city. But it's homey and green with mature trees and a golf course, shops, restaurant, workshops, pharmacy, market. Downside, no laundry hook ups, carports instead of garages.

BEWARE!! Very fishy business model at work. "Upgrades" can include new carpet or laminate floors $40, granite counter tops $40 and the appliance package $40. That is an extra $1440 per year for the duration of your lease. WHAT A RACKET!!! They show you 1 of 2 models to "prepare" the one you choose. So we decided on just laminate flooring and granite counters and kept the old stove hood with a true exhaust. When ours was "ready" it still had caution tape across the porch - Red Flag #1. Then senior leasing agent Cecilia showed us our apartment. It was NOTHING like the model we picked and nowhere near ready - 1 day before our movers were scheduled. Sloppy paint throughout, bathroom sink cracked & had a hole my wife could stick her finger into (!!) and a 25" stove installed in a 30" space (!?!). And they promised again we could count on it being ready the NEXT DAY and asked us to sign the lease. All this cost us 3 1/2 weeks in our search and they could not have cared less. BEWARE!! What they are doing is passing the cost of rehab of all these old buildings to renters and changing 2 BR units into 1 BR apartments to maximize their return. I don't even think the Torrey Pines unit they tried to get us to lease was really 611 square feet. Be careful. Do your research, talk to someone who lives there and LISTEN to what goes on in the "leasing office". You see current renters being ushered into private areas to discuss the cost of their upgraded and other complaints like all the dumpsters beingkept OPEN (!!) and no covered parking is available (additional $25 per month). I don't doubt this 55+ community once was a great deal but now it looks and operates more like a bucket shop. BTW we found a nice 2 BR 1 BA house with a bonus room, a garage, a big yard and a washer & dryer in the 55+ community in Sun City / Menifee for just $1695. KEEP LOOKING!!!!

I called many times, left multiple messages via phone and email, asking for a tour etc. And to this day, have never received a single response. We're all aware demand is high, however, communication and customer service is something you control. Very poor job!

I lived her for one year and I would give it a zero stars if only it would allow me. This place is filthy and definitely not safe for handicapped people. Being a 55+ complex you would think it would meet the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) but it doesn’t. Most of the people who move here are disabled and on a fixed income, yet they raise your rent 10% every year . The complex is old and contains many dangerous chemicals (asbestos, mold, led paint etc). The sidewalks are so uneven that I tripped and almost fell a few times. My bathtub started to bubble and peel within a few months of moving here. I was told that they would fix it but I could not use the bath for at least 3 days and they would not provide me with a place to stay while it was being repaired. There are so many negative issues with this place that I could write a whole book about it. All I can advise people that want to move in here is to run away and don’t do it. If you are looking for a place to have your elderly family live, do not move them here. It’s not safe. I will be reporting this place to California’s Housing Authority.

Don’t move here! It’s always power outages, laundry rooms are always dirty, parking is getting bad. They only care about taking your money!
