From the leasing office Melisa does not do her job correctly. The apartments are not well maintained, grass is super long, pool area is dirty. The process to lease takes way longer then it should.

Hello All - I was in a hurry to rent a place as I was living out of a hotel room due to my employer relocating me. In any case, I ran across La Veta Grand Apartments located a scant 3/4 miles from my place of employment. As soon as I visited the ground floor unit, I was convinced in about 30 seconds flat that I wanted this 2 bedroom apartment. My apartment is super nice. It has Central Air!! Woo hoo!!! Overall, the apartment is nice. It appears the complex was built in the 1980s, and due to that, my concern was water pressure as older apartments typically use galvanized piping, which corrodes internally and over time, the water pressure is reduced and then it goes to zero all together. Not here, the water pressure is terrific! Hot water comes relatively fast in the bath; a wait of perhaps 10 seconds or so first thing in the morning - not a big deal. The place is clean; I have stone counters in the kitchen and baths; the flooring is synthetic wood flooring or "Pergo" flooring which makes clean up VERY easy - just hit it with a Swiffer mop and voila, clean! The apartment is BIG too; right at 1000 SF which means it is nice and room. The living area is nice and big. The place somes with a microwave above the gas range, and it comes with a fridge also. This place is so nice, I am frankly floored. I am very happy with this apartment. It is a little spendy, but if you're a "professional white collar" working stiff, and make enough to cover the approximate $2800 dollar rent, it is entirely worth it. Lastly, the rent is close to the "going" rate in this part of Orange County. This place is killer!

I’m about to make 1 month since I’ve moved in to this apartment complex and although it is a calm property with friendly neighbors. It has a few downsides, which two include the portal to make your rent payment and poor communication from the leasing team. I’ve had trouble with my rent payment being processed and continue receiving a "Payment Failure" email. My mom and I, have both tried calling the leasing office, leaving voicemails, as well as have tried sending out emails but no response. Be aware that if you are past 3 days late for your rent, you are charged a late fee. We are trying to get this matter resolved to prevent any late fees but the leasing team will wrongly charge you, despite of the many outreach attempts from your end and poor, lack communication and help from their end.

Manager attempted to put her hands on a service cleaner over a remark not regarding her in any form. It was completely inappropriate and unprofessional the way she acted. Truly terrible character as she believed it was okay to yell and kick out the worker even though all she wanted was her id back.

If you ignore the red flags in THIS REVIEW then you MUST BE insane because everything below this review is absolutely true! I was excited to move into the property after this! I went in 5/22 to pick up my keys Melissa said they didn’t have my contract yet so they sent me back home to sign in to my laptop Mind you I had already told them their website wasn’t working. I finally bring in my laptop to the office for them to see it wasn’t working. The whole time the BIG manager had a direct link she could have send me inside the office!! I guess they thought itll be more fun to see me doing laps… anyway she sends me the link in the office! I sign my lease. Upon signing my lease I mentioned if I should be aware of any of the rules since I didn’t wanna read through 100 page contract. So Melissa decided to make a dumb remark about my job and the BIG manager sitting next to her decided to go along with the joke and laugh. Melissa thinking she’s funny said “no party’s until 5am and no strippers” mind you I am a DJ / entertainer. These people have all my information on my paystubs. They thought they could throw in some smart remark like that and think I wouldn’t catch their sarcasm! I was not OK with that! she also proceeded to say that I look like JLo and I have a big butt. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! Once I was done signing my lease they proceeded to make my move more complicated by asking for release of record forms from my doctor for my ESA pets. They also said I couldn’t move in or have my keys until my light bill account was under the apartment the same day . I honestly don’t know what their problem was with me! I immediately called investment corp and I spoke to Bryan the supervisor to complain onthis whole situation. Well guess what? Bryan made Dulce the “manage” call me back to return my check so I can return the keys. Nothing got handled! these low self esteem! low pay employees! Are probably sitting in that office working! Anyway Dulce the old lady decided to behave in a rude manner once I got there and didn’t wanna give me the check until she walked me to the apartment to “inspect damages” umm ( I didn’t move in) I asked her if the full amount was on the check and she refused to answer me. Shrugging her shoulders. Once she finished her inspection she rudely handed me my check and I toss the folder on the floor. She then kicked the folder at me and began to laugh like she’s 5. Can’t with this property! I don’t recommend anyone choosing this property. Poor management behavior. Please fix the problem at La Veta and get rid of your unprofessional staff they are not doing anything!

I have been renting at this complex for 2 and a half years now. This place was doing good when I moved in. The management was nice and on top of all concerns. However, recently I have noticed a HUGE change. It is not a safe property to live at. Be aware there will be homeless persons on the property daily. There is absolutely NO SECURITY at the property. When I asked the office for a corporate phone number to contact they just provided me the office number which was included in the same email. Expect the rent to be raised every year of $150! The gates are always broken! I had my wallet stolen from my car. You think they took notice? Nope. I had called that same morning to report the incident with them as an FYI to let them be aware of what is going on at the complex and the lady’s response was to call the police department there was nothing they can do. The pool constantly has ants everywhere and the chairs are very dirty. The current gate situation has been broken for almost 2 months! It is not a luxury apartment complex and not somewhere to live if you’re looking for luxury. Maintenance does do a good job on work orders and handles everything right away and are very nice. The playground is never cleaned. I stay here because it is a short commute to my employment and a what I thought was safe area. I am writing this comment in hopes things change. Also, expect for people to block your parking spot daily and get harassed by those individuals. Update 9/24/22 The gate is still broken where we park and now the second gate is also wide open and broken. I have emailed the office many times with no response. Whoever responds to these reviews clearly do not care and are just trying to respond in a “kind” manner to show outside people they “care”. Local law enforcement does not work closely with this location as there are no working cameras here and the office has told me that themselves. This complex should stop raising the rent so high if they do not comply with what they offer. Update now 10/6/22 The other driveway gate is now broken and someone stole my bike that was locked up. This is not a good place to live. Now I will be investing in my own cameras due to lack of security this place provides. Update as of 6/5/23 The gates are all broken now one still has no door handle and has been like this since last June! I have made numerous service requests and have called in many times now. I have send in numerous emails to which this ignorant management will NEVER respond to. It’s very funny how if you call the office they never answer the phone and will go directly to a call center. However, once time comes to renew the lease they are very punctual on making sure to call the tenant to submit the renewal. Unfortunately I had to renew my lease here as I cannot afford to move right now. I’m not sure why they continue to raise the rent when they cannot provide what they promise. These are not “luxury” apartments more like this company is going down the drain. 3/29/24 update on this place : Management is still a joke. Gates are still continuously broken and never fixed. Homeless people enter at all hours. Many tenants continuously are having issues with theft. Cars are continuously getting broken into. When people report incidents they do not help and refer tenants to police.

I lived at La Veta Grand in OC for 2 years and during the duration of my residence there I will have to say that the overall expereince was good, and the only 2 reasons that I moved was to be closer to where I pick up my kids, as I am a single father, and due to being able to find a unit with an attached garage. Pros: The maintenance crew was always on top of everything and I never waited longer than 48hrs for a service request to be filled regardless how busy they were. Additionally, the maintenance crew was very polite and there was never a day when I was sitting outside that they wouldn't stop to say hi to me and my kids. As far as the leasing team, I did not have a lot of interaction with them as I rarely had a reason to; However, I will say that Dulce, the property manager, was very helpful and polite when I did make the decision to move. She ensured that all docuuments needed were provided and made the moving out processes for me much smoother. Cons: Parking; Parking at La Veta can be a little rough if you aren't home before 1pm, street parking is terrible, so if you do decide to move to La Veta Grand, ensure that you opt in for a personal parking space...thank me later Again, overall, I had a very good experience living at the La Veta Grand apartments, and I was a little sad when I moved; the maintence crew alonng with the location provided for an awesome experience over the 2 years I lived there, and had the unit had an attached garage, I would have most likely stayed.

Yet again Gas turned off in the complex and NO notification or email sent out to let residents know and of all the days to not notify at least an email that gas needed to shut off. This is an absolute joke and management is absolutely horrible and I do not recommend anyone staying here. College students could definitely find a better location.

we was looking for a apartment to rent we found this place and I think we have made the best choice! so far so good.

Great location- Right in the center of Old Town Orange, so you can walk every where. Gated- and unlike some places, they actually fix the locks when they get broken. Quiet and safe. Good value .

It is a wonderful place to raise a family. Very peaceful.
