The manager, janette, is great, but whoever owns the building and decides who to contract for exterminators or appliance maintenance is terrible - they dont maintain the building in ways that wont be noticeable until after you move in and certain units are certainly better than others. They just wait for someone to move out instead of actually fixing stuff. First year in this building we got bed bugs, an exterminator was rude and didnt really do his job thoroughly (barely even did his job), because the owner chooses the exterminator you cant hire someone else. Also every single appliance was functionally broken from day one. Never actually fixed just sort of toyed with by outside contractors. Moved to a new unit when the lease ended as I couldnt find anywhere else to move to that wasnt worse and they insisted it was just my unit (as if that's an excuse). New unit the next year (and new everything just to be sure about bugs). Another mite and bed bug infestation and the same exterminator who didnt actually do anything. Appliances in the new unit work slightly better but still break often in ways that shouldnt happen. I cant wait for the lease to be over. The units also, also while decently made are small for the area and for the price there arent any amenities. What am I paying for? I can go down a few blocks, get the same price in similar units that arent infested and have working appliances with only cosmetic differences AND have actual amenities. Even if other places might be worse I dont recommend living here.

Management was poor. The building was not maintained. Leasing office is not customer service oriented.

The rating was based on the experience after the new Apt. manager came on board. She really takes care of people's needs and makes you feel taken care of.
