    The Monterey was great except for the ongoing repairs. The water was turned off almost monthly for half a day at a time and after that it was brownish and all the faucets had to be run for a while. They also painted everything often without sanding or priming properly, so the entry door by our unit melted shut during the day when the sun beat down on it. It may not still be as noisy from them replacing all the doors but who knows what they're doing now?

    The management team is the only real problem I have with the apartment complex. It's frustrating to deal with. They're ineffective at dealing with improving issues like plumbing or the elevators, but are quick to act on weird issues like what type of furniture is allowed on the patio. They did a good job of making us feel like we aren't welcome in our own home. You're not allowed more than 2 guests. They have a pool house and kitchen that are locked all the time.

    We didn't have many issues with our apartment and the small issues that did come up were fixed promptly.

    Everything you need is on this apartment. Has roomy living room and bedroom. Nice Kitchen too except theirs no exhaust fan when you are cooking and you need to open the entrance door and patio door so the smell will go out. Also Monterey is a big apartment complex and they should have washer and dryer on every floor.

    Since my stay here, I have not encountered any negatives. The people are friendly and I feel safe.

    The Office Staff Was Only Friendly When We Were Moving Out. I Had Problems Adding My Girlfriend To The Lease Even If I Was Paying On Time Our Security Deposit Went Up From 600 To 900. My Car Was Broken Into During Our Stay After Reporting It To The Staff They Did Not Address The Situation Added Additional Security Or Let The Other Residents Know. After A Month My Car Was Stolen Inside The Gated Community. Although Management Assessed It By Providing A Memo I Felt Like The Damage Was Done .
