The union flats is absolutely beautiful! Its also peaceful & very clean. I love how they even have a dog spa. However, if youre a person who loves having guests, this place may not be ideal as they dont have guest parking & they have to pay for street parking.

Brand new condition, 10min to bart, rent is a little bit high. Overall highly recommended.

Parking is horrible and no security cameras are on the lot that is visable

I moved here in 2019 and I never expected to stay in one spot for as long as I have (5 yrs). While the pandemic certainly contributed, I continue to renew primarily because this is, hands-down, the best apartment to rent in the area with staff that listen and care about my wellbeing. Adrianna is the best community manager I have ever had. She is friendly and approachable, she listens when I have concerns and takes me seriously. I never feel brushed-off or ignored. Sam has always been considerate and kind and is on top of any issues I send his way. He takes initiative and has earned his role as leasing manager. Maintenance has always been very quick - usually within a 1-2 days response time for non-emergency issues. If it takes longer, I can always count on Sam to know exactly what’s going on and give me an estimate timeline. The facilities and amenities are all kept up really well, I’ve seen some terrible messes left by residents and the cleaning staff don’t get enough credit ❤️. The location is great, it’s a 5 -15 min walk to most things you may need. Transit is really accessible with the BART and buses that can get you anywhere in the East Bay and even to Stanford. The grocery options are great with Western, Asian and Indian options so you can shop around. There are a lot of great restaurants in the area, 2 vets within a 20 min walk, plenty of walkable options for dentists and eye doctors, and the WTMF, Kaiser and Sutter hospitals/clinics in Fremont are easily accessible by transit or a quick 15-min drive. Ultimately, things aren’t always going to be perfect, but my experience with the current staff (2024) at Union Flats has been one of transparency and communication. I appreciate everything they do and I know they care deeply about making this place as comfortable as possible for their residents.

I've had an absolutely terrible experience living in this apartment. I reported a broken window on June 4th, and here we are, 17 days later, with no resolution in sight. The management team can't even secure the data of the repairers from the vendor – the one essential task they need to do. Living with a broken window has been a nightmare. The constant, extreme noise from trains, cars, and motorcycles, coupled with the cold wind at night, has severely impacted my physical and mental health. I've had to resort to staying in a hotel just to get some basic sleep and be able to function at work. This level of negligence and incompetence is unacceptable. I strongly advise anyone considering this place to look elsewhere. Avoid this apartment at all costs!

This is a nice place, but unfortunately, the management team is absolutely terrible. Don't trust Samay's words and promises. His manager, Adriana, is extremely negligent. The team is awful, often chatting in the office instead of assisting residents with emergencies.

I recently moved to Union Flats, and I had a very good experience from the beginning. When we came to make our lease , Adriana helped us a lot and has always been very kind to us. It was the best option to move to this place.The amenities here are amazing, and the way they maintain this place is incredible. They are always on top of everything to make sure it's all working properly.

My wife and I lived here for almost 5 years. Neighborhood is nice enough, location is great with the grocery stores nearby and available BART parking. Staff was helpful and friendly. Other tenants were almost always friendly. Usually people only go on places like this to post negative reviews, so I wanted to give a positive one that represents, Im sure, the vast majority of people in the building. Its certainly not perfect, but what ever is about renting.

I have spoken to management and higher management about multiple issues and their response is always “we are working on that” or “we will send another email”. Nothing from this new management is being handled appropriately nor is it being handled timely. They mention that they will handle things but nothing seems to stick so I will be writing about their business and agency until they actually take care of things that they promise or say that they will handle. I always come home to my hallway always smelling like rotten food. Trash being left all over the place and on the ground. Trash bins being left out like this apartment hallway belongs to them and their trash. This place is too expensive for this type of care. My recommendation is to take your business was elsewhere.
