After spending just a little time here, you'll agree with the town motto that, "It's a great day to be in Lone Tree." As a small town that is nestled between Castle Rock and Denver, many people consider Lone Tree, CO, to be the perfect city. After all, those who rent here quickly discover that their neighborhood has a small town feel, but they are still close to plenty of excitement. Additionally, thanks to major geographical features, the view is pretty spectacular.

Living in Lone Tree

Apartments renters may be surprised to learn that this city is a rather recent addition. Thanks to ever growing neighborhoods and development concerns, those who live and rent here decided that it was necessary to become incorporated in 1995. Despite its young age, residents of the town are proud to call this place home.

With only 11,000 residents, many may feel this town may be on the small side. However, Lone Tree has lot to offer. The town sits on rolling hills that, as you travel west, become the towering Rocky Mountains. Traveling east, on the other hand, will take you out to the Great Plains.

When it's time for excitement, you won't need to drive far. The Lone Tree Arts Commission and Lone Tree Symphony Orchestra bring a number of cultural experiences to the area. Those with kids will be happy to know that the city has great parks, a bike-friendly culture and plenty of walking trails.

If you don't mind driving just a bit, though, The Denver Zoo, Wild Life Experience and Denver Botanic Garden are just a few minutes up the road.

Most apartment renters in town do own cars, but Lone Tree has a strong public transportation system. RTD, or Regional Transportation District, runs both bus and light rails in the area. Most people, however, use these systems to make their way to Denver. Either way, thanks to this abundance of public transportation options, it's easy to get from your neighborhood to work, entertainment or shopping.
