These other reviews are very suspicious. The write ups are all negative, yet the star ratings are 4 and 5. I am leaving this a 2 star review. Hopefully it stays that way. The high ceilings and tall windows are gorgeous. Everything else sucks. Maintenance ignores any request until you see them in person multiple times. Management does not answer their phones. Ever. You really have to ambush them in their office, because they will lock the door and close the blinds to avoid you. No repairs are ever made. Dog crap everywhere. The lawn in front of the building is torn up by some kids doing donuts or something. Has been that way so long grass is growing in the trenches and piles of dirt. Before you rent, get it in writing how many parking spots will be available and whether you will have to pay for the pool. Trust me.

Rent was a little high for what we were hoping to pay but the amenities were great! Our major complaint is that maintenance was always slow to get to us the few times we needed help and we just learned to live with some things like a leaky kitchen faucet, etc. Overall though we are satisfied.

I love the location next to the train depot. Beacon Mills Apt is in a historic building, away from the crime belt in Bridgeport and out in the suburb. People with pets and there are many simply do not pick up after their pet's droppings. feces was everywhere this winter. Insulation from the large old style single glass window is not existent which results in high heating cooling bills. The mechanical door locks to get into the apt never work. The positives outweigh the negatives for me

I love my unit, I have just renewed my lease again and I enjoy living here. It's quiet and comfortable, and any problems are addressed accordingly. It's a convenient area while also being removed from the cities. I recommend living here to friends frequently.

pros: - cool lofts with brick walls and wooden roof structures - (once) gorgeous pond with bridge from parking lot to building - easy parking situation - New York train station just across the street - never had power outages due to weather cons: - rent continues to increase to a point were looking for alternatives makes sense - pond is heavily sanded up, due to lack of maintenance the last years (I'm not talking being low on water lately) - plumbings are notorious for clogging
