This place isn't too bad if you are looking for somewhere to live until you find where you really want to live. The office likes to charge outrageous fees for everything. When i first moved in i was told the first car per household was included, then when i actually brought a car it went from free to $40 per month just to park where i live. The laundry rooms are often in a partially functioning state. The washers need updating as they are often broken, and half the dryers have broken doors so you have to be careful to prop something in front of it so it doesn't pop open. The laundry room is also allegedly managed by an outside company, so when things do go wrong, the office and concierge cant really do anything to help. The elevators are constantly breaking. I'd say at least once a week. In my 2 years living here Ive been stuck in an elevator here at least 7 times. Many of the floors have a strong unpleasant smell in the hallway that is always causing the elevator to have a strong smell as well. The fitness center leaves much to be desired as well, and often shares the same strong unpleasant smell as the hallway. This makes it unbearable to use most times. The cost of rent use to be worth the headache, but it has since gone up an unreasonable amount considering they haven't done anything to actually improve the building. The owner started cosmetic renovations in january 2019 that are still not finished in june 2019. all it was was changing light fixtures, adding wallpaper, and adding carpet. They have yet to actually finish a single floor. The location is prime and that was my deciding factor in choosing this building. But if you can find another building in the downtown area, i would suggest you look the other way from this one.

Affordable Downtown Option, Slow and Dysfunctional Admin office, Not recommended for Students: Stayed here for 16 months. Deserved three and a half stars if it were not for the leasing admin office. There are a ton of good things about this apartment: Great location in Downtown, quick and prompt repairs by friendly staff, competitive pricing...BUT .... The admin office is really this apartment's weakest link. We ended up moving out two months early and were forced to pay the rent anyway due to the sheer breakdown in communication on the office's part on our lease extension agreement. Conflicting information was given out, processes for lease extension were manipulated on the fly to suit the office and an effort to resolve the issue was met with a defensive and evasive attitude. We as residents took the higher road and decided it was not worth our time to sue an office that we believed to lack ethics and integrity as well as any sort of empathy for its residents. My two cents: If you're a student in Hartford, please try other apartments. Purposely long renting processes involving co-signers. There are a lot better options in the vicinity where your time and money will be valued. If you do end up staying here, PLEASE document every single communication/dialog with the office via email/recordings
