Our two bedroom apartment was not well maintained. At the time of moving in, the wall-to-wall carpeting was already old and we expected that it would at some point be replaced. We asked repeatedly about whether the carpet could be replaced for five years and were told that was not scheduled for replacement. We also had a leak in the dishwasher that damaged the floor in the kitchen and maintenance would not come to fix it after repeated requests. Because of these issues, we finally decided to move to a different place. After moving out this month, we received a bill from the landlord in the amount of $1025 that said the apartment was not sufficiently clean with threats to send to collections if the bill is not promptly paid. That means, the landlord is keeping the security deposit and charging $525 in excess of the security deposit along with threats. After the landlord refused to do even basic upkeep of the apartment, we were shocked.

My husband and I moved out in February, had our final walkthrough with a leasing agent where the apartment was perfectly cleaned out and was told it was all good and we would get our full deposit back. When we received our deposit back, it was $150 short for couch left in apartment/trash. I called for an explanation as obviously we did not leave a couch in the apartment. They claimed we left a couch by the dumpster and they had photographic proof (which they NEVER provided) and maintenance knew it was mine from being in my apartment in the past. I asked how they could prove it was mine if I was looking at my couch right now. They asked for a description of my couch and a picture which I immediately sent and was informed that it must gave been from a matching set and there was nothing they would do for me. For a company that raves about their customer service, they certainly lacked in this department. The whole complex certainly went downhill fast when they let Jennifer the property manager go.

For the last 2 years, I have noticed a decline in care for the property and amenities. There are no incentives for being long-term residents.

The community is well taken care of and very peaceful. I never have to feel concerned about my car or property. They offer unique incentives like a community garden, dedicated dog park and bike rental. Along with a nice business center, gym and kitchen for free breakfast.
