      In general, I believe Avalon has superior staff experience, service, and attentiveness versus other apartment complexes. Other apartment complexes do offer more modern buildings and amenities, which also means less visible wear and tear, but the Avalon buildings and units appear and function as if they are brand new.

      We love the location, the friendliness of the staff, and the cleanliness of the building. The maintenance seems mostly good, but we had a few things that were in need of repair when we moved into our unit. But management had the problems quickly repaired, with some extras thrown in for our trouble.

      There are many good things about this community but the best thing is the location. You are close to almost everything that makes dc special. Verizon center, many museums including Smithsonian, theaters, Capitol hill, great restaurants, Gallery Place metro station and many more. the desk and management are very respectful and cooperative. the units are very new and clean. it has a good fitness center and a nice community area with free internet and 24/7 access.

      Avalon at Gallery Place is conveniently located in the heart of Chinatown. I can walk to local restaurants, stores, or monuments/memorial. The staff here is very helpful and courteous. My husband and I are very lucky to have found the perfect 1 bedroom apartment with just the right amount of amenities. It is clean, quiet and relatively unfussy unlike the other new modern/high-end apartments that are trying to attract young professionals.
