    My 4 years at the Berkshire was a good experience. First, the apartment was huge with extra large windows letting a lot of light in when I wanted it. The layout was great allowing many different furniture arrangements. The utilities are included and the AC/heat and hot water always worked. Repairs were addressed immediately. The staff is friendly and helpful. Management is working hard at making improvements. The new gym, Internet lounge, hallways, lighting and elevators are all nice changes. The free parking around the building is a big benefit. There was always a space available. The location is great with shopping nearby and the bus out front. I think the Berkshire is a really nice place to live.

    The move-in process was a breeze! The leasing office was more than accommodating and responsive to my questions about moving from the West Coast to the East, by the time I arrived I felt like I was already home. I couldn'' t ask for a more convenient location especially for a first apartment in DC. It'' s in a beautiful, safe neighborhood, and it'' s pet friendly!

    I think for my first apartment I am very blessed to have the Berkshire. The gym, store, laundry room and lounge is so convenient. My room is spacious and the complex is really full of all different types of people. I'm going to be very sad when I do have to leave due to after college life and moving away but for now I'm here to stay!
