The Promenade is more of a community than other apartment buildings I have lived in--people say hello in the elevator and hallways, introduce themselves while sitting by the pool, and chat in the laundry room. It's a great sign that I keep meeting people who like it so much they have moved from one unit to another in the building (usually to upgrade to having a balcony). I love my view of Kalorama Park and how much light my apartment gets through my huge windows. I really feel like I get a lot of bang for my buck in terms of how much space I have for a relatively low studio rent (and short lease term!) for this great neighborhood. It's easy for me to get to work, and it's even a pretty walk to the metro. My favorite grocery in the neighborhood is less than ten minutes away on foot. The pool and grill area is just an added bonus at this wonderful place to live.
