Asbestos, mold, awful management that will take advantage of you every chance she gets. There are no water meters, they can't prove your water usage and refuse to. Leaks in the roof "fixed" by painting over water stains. Not worth your time or money.

I have been renting in same apartment since September 2017. Currently new leasing company took over July this year. They opened an online portal to make payments, but on the portal the only thing showing is when you make a payment it shows a credit. I went to them and asked them for a bill they said they still have not had time or figured out how much everyone owes. I have been paying $125.00 for sewer and water so that when a bill comes Im not hit with a large bill . I have had a credit now recently that all disappeared and they took an additional $714.00 out of my bank account without my authorizing. I called them and informed them they said it came from my desk top which I do not own. I called Wells Fargo and put a stop on payment and filled out a claim against them. I sent them emails and asked them what happened to my credit and I want to be refunded for money they took. They still have not provided a bill for sewer and water and said it may not be available till end of December. I have not been happy with the water or sewer since I moved here because you never see a bill. Now the new leasing company has not provided a bill since July and all residents will be hit with a huge bill. I spoke to an attorney to find out our rights. All my credit is gone and they took money out of the portal with out my permission. Do not move here because it is not professional. They told me they cannot refund the money missing from my bank account and over drafted my account and dont care.. shady

*DOESN'T even deserve ONE Star* The ONLY nice thing about this place is the landscaping. The Pool is old and disgusting and not heated and of course there is no Jacuzzi like EVERY other apartment complex around that's MUCH cheaper to live. Forget about moving in and moving out with the stupid stairs leading up to the apartment. I lived there for 2 years (how- I don't even know) and used the pool probably 3 or 4 times total. Parking is AWFUL. You can't even open your car door without hitting the car next to you, god forbid you have children and need to get a car seat in and out. It's not a gated community, so homeless people rummage through the dumpsters day and night, not to mention the 9,000 cats that are running around and hiding in bushes, etc. The apartments themselves feel like you are in an underground tunnel with minimal natural lighting and walls EVERYWHERE. There are NO upgrades and the pricing is absolutely ridiculous. Also, don't even try to get an answer on how they bill out trash, water and sewer. We moved out in January and upon move out were charged for September, October, November, December and January utilities (taken from our security deposit) because they are so "behind" in billing (makes NO sense), even though all of those months we continued to pay utilities. Upon move-out we were also charged $115.00 for a "failed cleaning inspection" that did not have either tenant present as a witness. We specifically went back to the apartment after we moved out to CLEAN and it was NOT dirty, outside of normal 2 years worth of living normal wear and tear. SUCH A SCAM and this company does ANYTHING and EVERYTHING they can to get you. DON'T LIVE HERE-- there are SO many nicer options is MUCH NICER parts of town available.

ASPEN SQUARE MANAGEMENT CC My experience at The Laurels was by far the most miserable renting experience I have ever had (And probably ever will have). I could definitely go on and on about their unfair practices and fair housing violations. To anyone looking to lease here, I would recommend that you absolutely not make that terrible mistake, unless you want to be miserable day in and day out for the duration of your lease term.I had an issue with my toilet the entire time I lived there. My guest bathroom toilet would run and when you would shut off the value it would make loud noises and the valve would vibrate uncontrollably. I had maintenance come over one time he told me it was an "Internal plumbing issue and he could not do anything until his supervisor approved it." Maintenance never came back despite my calls to the office and request. So for the duration of my lease, I had to turn the valve on and off every time I needed to go to the restroom. I never made any maintenance requests after that. WATER BILL - Your water bill will be absolutely outrageous. (They also make you pay a percentage of the trash, if you live here you'll find out that they have the saddest excuse for dumpsters.) My water bill currently with 3 people in the apartment is $80. My water bill at the Laurels was always $150+ sometimes even being $200+ and at the time it was just 2 of us. Repeatedly I asked for the water usage to be checked out because it was unbelievable Continued in another review

I can only tell you about my experience in hopes that you dont fall into the same trap I did. Move here if youre good without any peace and quiet ever. Not only is the location of the community in an unfortunate intersection (you can hear normal traffic, cars blaring music, sirens, etc.), but the quality of some residents is also subpar. If youre unlucky like me and end up smack in the middle of people with children, pets, and personal drama - get ready to live through it all with them because the walls are paper thin. Dont bother going to the leasing office because they dont do a thing Parking is terrible. Unless you plan to be home no later than 6 p.m., be prepared to get a reserved parkingwhich the other residents may or may not respect. Too many people and not enough parking. The water/sewage and trash is billed additionally by the community. Ive discussed the amount of water, sewage, and trash that the community charges with other residents and they also feel that the amount is out of proportion with what they use Its quite the substantial bill. If you decide to move in anyway and look for a way to cancel your lease once you realize everything thats wrong, you need to give them a 60 day notice, and pay them two months rent. Ive never rented anywhere that needs both. If youre paying the fee to break the lease, why the long notice? Im just so deeply disappointed. Not just at myself for not doing research prior to moving in, but also at the leasing office for not taking action with the issues they can take care of. It's all fake customer service. The moment they have a true opportunity to resolve a situation and make for a better experience, you see their true colors and unwillingness to do anything that requires them to leave the comfort of their office. Dont be fooled by the landscaping. Many of the residents here dont have common sense or common courtesy. Expect noise and trash everywhereso keep searching. I wish I had.
