Sunbeam Jacksonville is a neighborhood near Mandarin and across the river from the Jacksonville Naval Complex. Sunbeam Jacksonville is now an upper middle class neighborhood with much to offer.

In fact, the whole Jacksonville pier is a great place for entertainment and it is only 30 minutes away by car, a bit longer by boat.

The only way to commute in and around the Sunbeam neighborhood is by private vehicle or by carpooling. The traffic isn't bad until you get on US1 or Phillips Highway. Many residents use the I-295 bypass to avoid some of the worst traffic. Public transportation does not appear to be an option in this area.
There is a number of Pre-k through elementary schools throughout the area. The Torah Academy of Jacksonville on San Jose Blvd. is an orthodox day school for Jewish children. They offer classes from Pre-k through eighth grade. Crown Point Elementary School is located on Crown Point Road and serves Pre-k through sixth grade. Three schools serve as a middle school for the neighborhood and two high schools are available, either Christ's Church Academy or Center Academy of Jacksonville, both private schools.
