I cannot, under any circumstances, recommend staying at Sunset Square Apartments.First of all, Milo, the building manager, is a very kind individual. However, the building that she manages has a number of serious problems which made my stay there extremely uncomfortable.Problems include constant cockroaches, loud neighbors, and random debris in the hallways. I complained about the cockroach infestation for 3 months until extra sprays were scheduled. The owner of the apartment building, who is not based in Miami, told me over the phone that the apartment would never be free of cockroaches. Never. The apartments themselves are really meant for single individuals or couples. The walls are thin. However, most of my neighbors seem to be families that make a lot of noise. Kids run across floors, babies cry, balls bounce, and you hear all of it. It's difficult to find a quiet moment. The shared hallways are rarely clean. There was a large panel of wood next it in my hallway for a month. The hallways are almost never cleaned or inspected. White debris from a fallen ceiling tile remained on the floor in the hallway for nearly two months before I cleaned it up myself.I could go on, but between the cockroaches and impossibility of having a quiet evening at home, I hope whoever is reading this understands what they're getting into if they choose to stay at this apartment building. Please do yourself a favor and find somewhere else.
