THIS PLACE IS A JOKE. My air conditioner was out for TWO WEEKS. They promised dates to fix it and took TWO WEEKS to do it. THEN left me with a huge mess to clean up because of course, they didn't do that! Imagine waking up every night sweating and miserable... you'll get that here at Ocean Oaks!! Imagine NOT having a screen door and having raccoons outside ON YOUR PORCH, thus not able to OPEN YOUR DOOR when you have NO AIR CONDITIONING for TWO WEEKS in FLORIDA. Then imagine the Property manager telling you that you were fine and could have simply opened your door during the time of no AC..... with racoons outside that they said I HAD TO PAY TO REMOVE. THEN NOT BEING compensated in ANY WAY. And imagine moving in to an apartment SIX months ago and there still being construction EVERYWHERE and extremely disrespectful, creepy, sketchy workers cat calling you and making you feel uncomfortable 24/7. YEA YOU'LL GET ALL OF THAT HERE AT OCEAN OAKS. OH AND, if you notice the 4 star review, it's because they bribe tenants to write a 5 star review for a chance to win a $100 visa. That is all(:

Just moved here two months ago and I've had 3 large snakes on my" screened" patio . An the office will do nothing about it . They say call animal control !!! Big joke they need to landscape this place . $$ 1200 and can't even sit on my patio !! What will they do when I get bit by a poisonous one !!

I think it is unfair to increase the rental rate for residents that have resided in the community for years and that have a history of paying their rent timely. I also do not feel that it is fair to charge $20 per pet for pet rent when you ask for a pet deposit. Residents should only be obligated to pay one. It is not fair to require residents to obtain apartment insurance, as this should be optional, but highly recommended.

There are a lot of maintenance issues that are not being addressed. The management is not proactive at addressing the issues, the apartment complex is old, the walls are thin and don't hold the temperature, the windows are so bad that you can hear people whispering on their balcony in your apartment. It takes several days for the maintenance to address the issue for you, if address at all.

Once you move in, and are no longer a new resident. You are totally forgotten about, nothing in the apartment is kept up to date. Dog's that are not supposed to be allowed in here-are. I'm talking about aggressive breeds. Breeze ways are not kept clean and debris free. Outside lighting is horrible, it used to be a priority. Sidewalks are very uneven, more dangerous at night, when you can't see.

The only complaint that I have is the very serious pest problem which seriously affects every aspect of day to day life. We have tried just about everything to get rid of the bugs and it is ridiculous that we pay for pest control that makes no difference in the number of bugs in the apartment. As far as other aspects go, the appliances are outdated but otherwise, everyone is very kind and apartments are fairly spacious.
