The first few times I was spoken down on by the men that came into my apartment. Garbage disposal broke: a man Read More came in and we didn't hear him knocking on the door so he came in which wouldn't be a problem until he slung my bedroom door open. After a couple of months I would come home and the whole house wreaked of mildew. I could not figure out where it was coming from. I put in a request for a maintenance staff to come check it out, twice online they said they came but no one ever showed up. Finally I found the culprit myself and there was mold growing in my window sills and water leaking from the wall. I called to tell them I found water leaking from the wall into the carpet and the gentleman that came by told me he couldn't do anything about it and just left it. I know apartments everywhere try to charge you for everything they possibly can that is why I prefer a walk through done while I am there. I asked for one while we were still scrubbing down the apartment to see if he could come by during business hours to have it done before our lease ended by the end of the week. He came early and was extremely rude to my roommate who opened the door, disregarding our time and what we wanted to make sure was done. He came in and said he didn't see any damages that deemed needed to be fixed and left. We assumed everything was great and packed up and left. I couldn't make it the day the lease ended so I was going to get charged an extra day, but I went to process my walk through paperwork and they didn't have it done. Once I got the paperwork they stated we stained the carpet and were charging me an extra cleaning fee for it and it wasn't stained it was maybe some dirt from walking. We had a steam cleaner with us, which easily would have been cleaned before we left if he had made it apparent that it was a problem. After all of that I emailed the property manager with my concerns and she didn't even have the decency to email me back.

Overall, Gables Mill is a good apartment community. It is an older community so there are some upgrading that Read More needs to be done.

Community is very nice and the convenience of the valet trash is great! Of course the team is great in the lea Read Moresing office. and the service team is clear in communicating and letting me know if they had to go in and fix something for me.

I called to get information for the 2bd/2ba units and I spoke to a representative name Cindy. I asked her for Read Morethe rate information and she quoted a price of $963 for the Dogwood unit. Cindy scheduled my appointment for 2pm to view the property(with a confirmation email). She also advised that I look at the Gables Mill website for detailed information and I confirmed the rate on the website of $963 also. I requested time off of work to be able to view the unit at 2pm and drove from Gwinnett County (looking to relocate to Cobb). When I arrived at the property I spoke to a leasing agent and she stated that the unit would be $300 more than what was quoted to me over the phone that morning. I asked about the discrepancies and she stated that the call center representatives give out the wrong information. I pulled up the leasing information (on my phone) directly from the Gables Mill website and showed the leasing agent the listed price which was $963. I told the leasing agent that I felt it was unfair and a waste of my time due to the website having the exact information as the call center representative. The manager approached me saying the information provided on the website was a glitch that she had been trying to work on all morning, and that she would be unable to honor the price because they don't "haggle" as if I was asking them to bargain with me. I requested a telephone number for their corporate office to speak with someone because I wanted them to document my experience. They would not give me the number directly and told me to check the website. I had to sit my car and look up the information on Google until I found it. I spoke to the Regional Manager, Johanna and she was a waste of time too! She basically said the information was misleading and there was nothing that she or anyone else could do because they will not make a "special price" for me, as if I had made the price up. I would never recommend this property based on my experience today.
