Royal Oaks Apartments

In 2018 I was brand new to the city and really appreciated management for getting my apartment ready in time and even staying open late for my arrival (which had been delayed by traffic). It was clear from the get go that the roaches owned my unit before I moved in. I swept them out of cabinets, painted the interiors white and worked hard to seal up crevices where they could enter and escape. I killed at least 1000 roaches that first month, no exaggeration, and it was a constant fight to keep them at bay. Other than that, the place was a little run down but tolerably comfortable. I liked the layout of my unit. The biggest advantage this place had to offer was how cheap it was. I paid $540 a month for a one bedroom. They now appear to have raised that by more than 50%? Unless they've made some significant renovations, this place is not worth that price.
