    While at the Station at Gateway, we were paying a lot in rent and treated very poorly from the management. There were many problems with our surrounding neighbors and how the situations were handled was very poor. The apartment itself was nice but there was a lot of unfinished things with the place. At move out, there was a lot of charges that were ridiculous. Yes, we had some things we knew we needed to pay for but even after paying a professional cleaning company we were charged for more cleaning. While living at the apartments we were paying full rent but we didn't have access to all the amenities offered as they were "under construction" so you would think you wouldn't pay the full rent if you aren't able to use all the amenities. Office would not notify us if we had packages in the office. You would have to go down and ask and if you didn't ask, you wouldn't know.

    I rented at the Station for a year and had a very pleasant time living there the staff seemed very great... at the beginning. We had no problems when we were living there, no violations, no noise complaints, absolutely nothing. During the move out stage everything went very well, did everything we were asked. Almost after a month after moving out, we receive a bill for over 1400.00... everything from batteries needing replacing in the smoke detectors, ect... but the big one was the carpet in the entire apartment was replaced. Nothing was said to us during the move out process about maybe needing to replace the carpet, nothing... no phone call, email, just a bill sent to us. We did have pets in the apartments but the carpets were cleaned and during the pre-exit walk though, they said "everything looks great".I emailed the Station with questions and and asking why the carpet was replaced and they responded with saying the apartment smelled like urine. Knowing that yes, my pet did soil the carpet not more than 3 times I asked for proof and so they sent me pictures. One of the pictures they sent us the carpet was completely stained with urine, just a complete mess. Funny thing was, that wasn't our apartment! They sent us a picture from a completely different apartment! I lived in a three bedroom and they sent me a picture of a one bedroom. The other three pictures were of stains no bigger than your hand. Nothing that justified replacing an entire apartments carpet.Long story short, after talking with the Station the bill was dropped 10%. Our two deposits were applied to the charges but the Pent Rent that they charge you everything month is NOT applied to anything. Meaning they are billing you for absolutely nothing. Don't really get why I was charged a Pet Rent fee if something like that is not what it can be used for.Basically after you move out, they can charge whatever they want without you knowing about it and send you the bill.

    From a house to an apartment , The Station at Gateway make it easier for me and my new born. I have been renting before but this is the best apartment ever ! Staff and manager really do care about you as well as the community. Not like other places that I lived in before. They fix your problem in a timely manner and they are very friendly .

    I feel very uncomfortable and judged by the staff here. I also feel like I am getting scammed and ripped off by all of the fees that are made.

    The grounds need more attention. We are seeing trash on the Stamm & Happy Valley street sides. The dog clean-up rules really need to be enforced!
