My husband Gary and I and our adorable baby fefe lived in Elmwood apartments for 8 years. And in those 8 years. We had to deal with cockroaches! Lots of them in the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. The exterminator that comes every 2nd wed to spray the apartments isnt very good. His spray doesnt work at all. All 3 buildings are infested with cockroaches and be prepared to spend money draino! They have so many problems there with the plumbing! And they also lots of electrical problems, if you plug in a lamp or vaccum they will flicker constantly! Also Charles the landlord is a complete jerk! And hes very discriminating! And will harass and threaten his tenants! Same with Florin hes rude he swears at his tenants! Charles the landlord will also take advantage of his tenants when it comes to money! And if you call the village about the cockroaches and if he gets caught he will evict his tenants. So also be prepared for that as well. PLEASE DO NOT LIVE HERE! Its a waste of time and YOUR MONEY which everyone works hard for. So please save your money and find a better place to live. Pleaee read and listen to our review it will save everyone from moving into that disgusting and horrible roach infested buildings.

This place is disgusting. Roach infested. Paint chips in your bath tub. Hidden holes under the sink for your animals to get lost in. Freezing winters and HOT summers due to improper insulation. DO NOT MOVE HERE.

Ive been living at elm wood apts for 6 yrs now its the worst place ever to live u ask them to fix things it never gets done they gave me 1 closet door and no pantry I have roaches coming out of my dishwasher the dishwasher sounds like its going to break anytime the dryer u put ur clothes in to dry them they come out all wet the security door in the back of the building is always open all day long dont move to elmwood apts steve

They are very slow or most of the time forgetting to give their 100% service to good tenants renting now on their units. Maintenance person/s do not do their job, only promises are made but never meant to be done. Like my unit now, I am constantly on the phone w/ the manager, so many repairs to be done, I need an electrician, until now, only a promise is what they tell you. So maybe after this year, I am going to look for a better apt w/ good management and will care for good tenants like us.

Love my apt, the maintenance inside the building is poor. The security is horrible, side doors do not lock. Tenants are very messing, un sanitary. No guest parking, cars are towed at owners expense! $200 plus dollars all the way to Waukegan! No parking on street, apparently your not allowed guests.
