I like my neighbors and the location. It is 10 minutes from my work and thekids' school. Its close to town.

My favorite place to go is called mozzis. It's a pizza place that's family owned. In the summer friends and family and I like to go to Libby's icecream.

Everyone looks out for each other. Neighbors keep their yards clean Lawns cut. Restaurants are nearby.

many restaurants to choose from. Nice parks. Safe area. Cost of living is very reasonable able compared to other areas.

Early settlers decided to stay in Greenfield because of its ideal location between two creeks - the perfect spot for sawmills. Corn and wheat production quickly became a major source of income and was responsible for the city's growth in agribusiness. Once the Pennsylvania and Indiana railroad came through Greenfield, the population continued to grow and the city eventually incorporated in 1876. Today, Greenfield residents can have the best of both worlds thanks to its close location to Indianapolis. Although Greenfield is a small town, it is mere minutes from the Indianapolis city center, providing big city amenities to Greenfield's population. According to information from the 2010 U.S. Census Bureau, the city is home to more than 20,600 people and is looking forward to a bright future. 

Greenfield Attractions and Special Events

One of the biggest events in the Greenfield area is the Riley Festival, held every fall in honor of the "Hoosier Poet," James Whitcomb Riley. One of the largest craft festivals in the state of Indiana, residents in Greenfield can enjoy three days of fine arts, home arts and quilting, photography, poster, and decorated pumpkin shows.
