I love my apartment and building--its unique layout is just what I was looking for. The office staff at times can be challenging/inflexible to work with, even though residents are expected to be flexible (e.g., no access to apartment during large blocks of time because of floor maintenance). The maintenance man is great--always friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Also, I would love having a more equipped workout room (not many options currently).

Overall, The Armory is the most complete, secure apartment complex in downtown Lafayette. It's relatively cheap in its category of urban, historic "lux" apartments. Maintenance has always been prompt (we've had a new air conditioner installed). Most importantly, this building is extremely safe. With a mixture of call boxes, keyless entries, secure garage, and security cameras, I am never in fear of my wife or my safety.

The building is well kept and maintenance requests are dealt with quickly (generally the same day the request is submitted).

The location on the bronze loop is very convenient for Purdue students. Also, the security features are definitely appreciated. The apartments themselves are nice and spacious. It would be nice if parking in the garage did not cost extra. Also, if there were a way to get a good deal on cable for the apartment complex, that would be a definite plus.

Although I am generally satisfied with the Armory Loft Apartments, two problems readily come to mind. (1) The apartments, due to unsealed windows, are freezing in the winter thus causing high heating bills and (2) The foyer area doors slam quite loudly, making it difficult to sleep when numerous people are going in and out of the doors, especially on the weekends.
